We begin with a Design Your Journey form followed by a complimentary Discovery Call.

If this is our first time getting to know one another, I’ll ask you to complete a Design Your Journey form. If your trip is a good fit, we’ll set up a 20-minute complimentary Discovery Call. It’s important that I get to know you – and that I ask unique questions tailored to your trip. If we’re well-suited for one another then all systems are go!

I work behind the scenes to design the exacting details that will make your trip memorable.

This is the heart of your trip – I dive deep into research. I combine the ingredients you shared with me to craft your vacation and create a proposal. We’ll work together along the way until your trip is just right. Finally, I’ll communicate with my travel partners to make special requests and secure any perks and amenities.

Hi, I’m Rochelle DeBaun, owner of Five Senses Journeys, a boutique travel & consultancy agency.

I discovered my passion for travel planning many years ago, when I stumbled into a local travel agency. My simple yet extensive U.S. explorations as a child had sparked that initial travel bug.

before travel became my profession

Even before I dove into the world of professional travel planning, my heart was already firmly rooted in the hospitality trade. I studied Hotel & Restaurant Management at Hocking College, with a specialty in Culinary Arts. While the decades have passed, my love and appreciation of food and food culture continues to flourish – now, seamlessly woven into nearly every trip I take and many of the trips that I plan.

I discovered my life’s passion amidst this synergy – of food, exploration, and the senses. I entwine my love of travel with everyday life, and my everyday life also informs my travel.

Five Senses Journeys was born of this — of all this: Of my childhood love for travel, of my calling to hospitality, of my desire to weave the five senses into journeys that speak to the heart.

I founded Five Senses Journeys in 2021 but in a way, my story dates to 1995. It was then that I took my first job in travel planning and discovered how much I enjoyed the immersive details and electrifying moments – all those little things that elevate a trip from a simple vacation, to an experience you’ll reflect on and savor for a lifetime.
